Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The liquidator of 20-vehicle Suffolk haulier KD Transport (Anglia) says the company has a deficiency of £283,000 after paying secured creditors. Subcontractors owed part of this sum are therefore unlikely to get paid: personal possessions of some drivers employed by the Haverhill-based firm are also unlikely to be recovered. The belongings were left inside vehicles over the weekend the firm went into liquidation on 24 June.

Three drivers say they are owed holiday or redundancy pay: they will be forced to apply to the Department of Employment to get their money.

Joint directors of the haulier are Pauline Amy Dacey and husband Ken, of Haverhill.
