Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A human rights lawyer is advising hauliers to avoid travelling through or to Morocco after receiving details of a recent drugs case in the country involving a British ownerdriver.

Customs at Tangiers found a load of hashish in Waltham Abbey, Essex-based Steven Bryant's truck and he was tried and sentenced to eight years in prison. The Moroccan owner of the factory where the load originated was also imprisoned.

Bryant's appeal was heard at the end of July and his sentence increased to 10 years.

Human rights lawyer Stephen Jakobi of Fair Trials Abroad has been asked for help by Bryant's family. He says: "The ordinary trucker takes loads according to where he is sent by freighters and picks up return loads on faxed instructions. He has no control over loading."

Steven Bryant's mother Sheila says her son would never have knowingly taken a risk such as carrying drugs: "Every time he has been through Morocco, he has been searched."
