• Cavendish Farm Foods has added a 13-tonne Mercedes rigid with 121,1 18.7ft (5.7m) triple compartment reefer bodywork to its fleet for its expanding caterer support service.
With its two fixed inner bulkheads the Hubbard Polar Pac 24 beam eutectic system provides low temperatures at the rear, chilled in the centre and ambient at the front.
Access to the front is via twin doors and there's a triple set at the back. has come from using lighter main rails plus slimmer 180mm roof profiles.
LD has also developed a special one-piece PVC-coated polyester cover which is integral with the roof system and easily removed. In addition, its front bulkhead is vented to stop air being trapped when loading from above and there's a single sliding pillar that pegs into the top rave_ This allows flexibility in use without reducing the trailer's overall height.
"Together with our flexibly mounted all-bolted design," says Lawrence Marshall, "the lighter, slimmer roof profile has enabled us to offer Pandoro greater access and a genuine dual-purpose trailer".
