• CTR's new testing arrangements include testing at its sites by VI inspectors. "What could be a three-day operation can be reduced to one day or less," says CTR's Derek Wright.
Operators with a CTR account will be able to book a test with as little as 24 hours notice. Flexibility over test times, rectification of small faults on-site and a retest within 20 minutes more than make up for the small additional fee, he says.
Truck and trailer testing is available at CTR's sites in Nuneaton and Glasgow,
with facilities at Manchester and Barry Dock being constructed. The Leeds and Felixstowe sites can only test trailers.
