HAULAGE TRAFFIC has doubled in the past year on Brittany Fer. ries' Plymouth-Santander ro/rc service.
The company has added a twice-weekly freight service foi July, August and most of September, with its Breizh-lzel being used to provide sailings from Plymouth on Sundays anc Thursdays and return sailinga on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
The freight service has capacity for 36 15m trailers, and although some freight traffic will be able to go on the passengel ferry once the season ends, thE company is now looking at running a three-times weekly service in the winter.
A major advantage of using the service is that quota-frec permits can be used.
