Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE MID-WALES Development Board has recommended improvements to road communications to and within MidWales. The statement refers to major trunk road schemes only, but realises that more major trunk roads are needed in certain regions.

East-West links are vital to the Mid-Welsh economy and this is reflected in the nature of the road improvements. While the M54 has improved the situation, the Board urges that there should be dual carriageway introduced on the A5 TelfordShrewsbury section, and a fast improvement of the A458 from Shrewsbury to Welsh pool.

The A44 is recommended to be turned into a trunk road between Rhayader and Leominster. A great amount of work is needed on parts of the A484 Cardigan-Llanwrda to provide adequate links between South Ceredigion and the M4.
