• Through its German subsidiary, Deutsche Fruehauf GmbH and Co, KG, the American trailer maker, Fruehauf Corporation, has taken a controlling financial interest in Ackermann Fahrzeugbau, the German trailer manufacturer.
A merger of Ackermann and the German Fruehauf company is stated to be a possibility.
The French Berliet company has signed an agreement to permit Berliet PR-100 buses to he built under licence by Polmot, of Poland. Target production is 5000 buses a year.
