Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Messrs. Rymers, 17, Tames Street, Liverpool, have arranged some interesting combination tours by ocean liner, motor coach and railway, which are being run during August and September. In one case passengers leave Liverpool on Friday . by a 20,000-ton Duchess steamer, and disembark on the Saturday at Greenock, thence proceeding by railway to Glasgow, a motor-coach tour to Loch Lomond being made in the evening. On Sunday morning passengers leave Glasgow for Liverpool, travelling via Carlisle, Keswick, Grasmere, Windermere and Kendal. The fare is four guineas.

Replacing Trams by Buses at Rhondda.

Rhondda Urban District Council and the Rhondda Tramways Co., Ltd., propose to substitute buses for trams, and Glamorgan County Council is being asked to give financial assistance. The company has undertaken to restore the roadway, with help from the Ministry of Transport. After contributions from the Ministry and the company, the urban district council would have to find £11,000, which sum the county council is asked to meet.

The roads and bridges committee of the county council decided that a report on the question should be pre

pared by a sub-committee and a recommendation, on the lines of the report, be made to the county finance eommittee.

New Belfast This Stands.

The new by-laws for the regulation of traffic in Belfast contain a clause which will prevent buses picking up passengers between their depots and the stands from which they start for their various destinations. An emergency meeting of the police committee of the Corporation has been called to consider this clause and it is expected that some alteration will be made.

,The Dennis Distributor for Yorkshire.

We learn that Mr. Frank H. Dutson, Assoe.Inst.T., late managing director of Prank H. Dutson (Leeds), Ltd., has been appointed the official distributor of Dennis commercial and passenger vehicles for Yorkshire.

For a number of years Mr. Dutson has been associated with Dennis products, and we are informed that his works are equipped for the efficient handling of the sales and servicing of this well-known vehicle. The sales offices are situated at 10, East Parade, Leeds, whilst the sertice works and spare parts department are at Upper North Street, Leeds,

Scotland's Share of Road Fund.

It is officially stated that the motorlicence duties collected in Scotland during the past ,three years amounted in 1928-29 to £2,032,180; in,1929-30 to 12,077,091; and in 1930-31 to £2,169,630.

Payments to local authorities in Scotland in respect of Road Fund grants during the three years were in 1928-29, £2,416,238; in 1929-30, £2,597,698; and in 1930-31, 12,926,697.

Wheel-aligning Equipment.

Joseph Bradbury and Sons, Ltd., Braintree, Essex, now offers an unusually comprehensive range of equipment for checking front-wheel alignment. For example, wheels may be tested for truth and balance by the G.E. track gauge, the amount of castor may be ascertained by a special device, and the amount of toe-in checked by yet another G.E. tool. Trammel aliguers also are marketed for those who prefer this method of verifying toe-in.

The G.K. camber gauge not only enables an operator to test the camber, but it can be employed for lining-up and straightening front axles. A copy of the booklet entitled "Instructions for Using the G.E. Wheel-aligning Equipment" is well worth a study by repairers and maintenance engineers.
