Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Rainham-based LJ Environmental has added a high-powered, high-capacity combination Vallely vacuum jetter/tanker to its fleet of gully emptiers.

The 19,1001it tank carries 1,8001it of jetting water behind a movable wall for adjusting the proportion of water/debris carried.

VaHely immerses the liquid ring pump in water to form the vacuum and reduce noise and temperatures.

The rig is based on a Foden 32-tonne GVW 8x4 chassis with 500hp Cummins 14-litre engine. It uses an Eaton 16-speed gearbox with drive-line PT-0 for heavy duty applications. LJ Environmental has specified full Pet-Reg fittings enabling it to work in petroleum depots, Three similar models are in build for other customers. Such a high-powered engine is unusual for this type of vehicle: VaHely says it is necessary for running pump and jetter simultaneously.

To hold the engine revs at 1,200rpm when working, VE link its controls with the Cummins CELECT engine management, thus preventing damage to the hydraulic equipment by overspeeding when the PT-0 is engaged.
