Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• With freight traffic expected to increase by up to 40% by the year 2000. TNT Logistics' latest Enviroliner drawbars are said to represent a significant advance in transport efficiency.

TNT operates four of these special drawbars between Spain and France, taking Ford components one way and completed cars the other.

The drawbars can accommodate cars, pallets or a mix of the two: they have slashed transport costs by up to 39% with an estimated 3% improvement in damage avoidance. Inventory costs are reduced too.

Scania R113-360 4x2 prime movers pull tri-axle trailers which are built and equipped by Lohr with curtain-sided bodywork and hydraulically operated car carrier frames.

Each rig will hold up to eight cars with 3.0m of freight, or 15m:' of freight at 18.5 tonnes. The bodies are ISO-style demountables with road, rail or sea capability.

In recognition of the Enviroliner's contribution to operating efficiency Ford has presented TNT with its second CQRS (Car Quality Rating System).
