Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

/ York's latest frameless aluminium semi-trailer van, the Freightmaster 2000, is built to an improved, sturdier design to offer extra internal width.

The first of the new vans to enter service were delivered from York's Northallorton plant to Great Universal Stores in Manchester for interwarehousing distribution.

The vans are available in lengths up to 12.2m and can be produced in a variety of styles from a conventional straight-through design to semior fully-dropped decks. All are backed with a five-year structural warranty.

A frameless drawbar trailer version is also included, one of which is expected at this year's IRTE exhibition at Solihull. It will feature the Peitz PAL trailer coupling system.

York has used slimmer internal side pillars to increase the van's inner width by 18mm to 2,440rnm. This allows slightly more room when carrying up to 24 metric pallets along the deck.

Its new one-piece rolled steel base rail incorporates an external fender and is recessed to accommodate an extra deep interior kick strip. This protects the side panels from loading damage without intruding into the load space.

The semi-trailer van's tail end, usually the most vulnerable part, has been redesigned and now has its lighting recessed into the rear crossmember frame.

York bonds the Freightmaster 2000's one-piece roof using an adhesive capable of withstanding temperatures of —400 to +90° Celsius.

The entire roof edging is then capped and sealed for protection.

Pre-drilled holes in the new kick strip and rings secured to the cant rail allow York to offer a low weight cargo restraint system, though a conventional load restraint tracking system can also be added, recessed against intrusion.

An integral tail lift is also available where a doubledecked body is specified. This was specially developed by Ross and Bonnyman for an earlier York contract with GUS Transport Services. The lift, which is mounted within the body's rear frame, offers load protection against the weather during loading operations outside. Other tail lifts can also be fitted.
