"SHORT-SLEEPER" cab version of Leyland's top-of-theange Marathon has been announced for the Earls Court show.
Available for the TL12 engined models only, the short sleeper ddition to the range is available in the UK in right-hand-drive arm with a single wheelbase of 3.12m (10ft 3in). The lhd models )r Europe are offered with a 3.55m (lift Sin) wheelbase on the rtics and 5.5 and 6.0m (llift Olhin and 19ft Sin) for the rigids.
Leyland claims that the new ab offers several advantages 3mpared with the current long-sleeper" model. The active unit can couple to 016mm (40in) kingpin, 12.2m LOft) long semi-trailers withat going over the 15m-overall mit.
