lew range of coach and bus )odies for the Commercial Vlotor Show and it includes the all-new Dominant 2 which is being added to the range. The new body is designed by the Duple team but has been tyled by Michelotti of Turin. ft has front and rear bumpers of black rubber and twin rectangular headlamps either side of a ribbed stainless steel grille.
All the new Duple coaches are to have the new construction of steel square tube section that has been used on service buses since 1974 and the undersides of the new bodies are to be Ziebart antirust treated — and this will also reduce noise level, says Duple.
The new range for the Show has been fitted with the minor modifications that are being included in the specification such as black rubber wheel arch edge moulds and new . larger exterior mirrors to meet EEC rules.
The specification of the Dominant 1 which continue in production alongside the new model has also had the modifications incorporated.
For. the driver Duple has redesigned the driving seat with kidney support panels to ensure greater comfort and cut down on fatigue.
Duple says that the new bodies will be very strong owing to the new construction methods and extra safety modifications including red rear fog lights mounted in the rear bumpers which are of the new wrap-around kind and some side flashers have been moved for better side elevation.
