bulk liquids operations of P&O Road Services tanker haulage companies under one banner.
P&O Tankmasters will be based mainly on the operations of Thomas Allen International and will specialise in hauling an all-inclusive range of bulk liquids to and from Europe via Hull, Dover and Felixstowe.
Future plans include expansion of the service to all parts of the Continent and the use of additional ports.
Facilities
Mr Toby Turner, the newly appointed managing director of the new company, said: "We intend to offer our customers a door-to-door transport service.
"Traffic will continue to be routed as it was with the former Thomas Allen International through the Continental ports of Rotterdam and Zeebrugge."
Tankmasters will operate a • fleet of modern general-pur pose and specialised tanks for hauling edible and mineral oils, chemicals, wines, spirits, syrups and fruit juices. Customers will be offered comprehensive documentation and Customs clearance facilities.
