• A special 75-ton version of the Atkinson Venturer has been produced by Atkinson Vehicles Ltd, Walton-le-Dale, Preston. Built to the order of Walsh Transport Services Ltd, of Darwen, Lanes, the machine can be used as a tractive unit, with a fifth-wheel coupling, or may be ballasted for drawbar haulage of heavy trailers.

Designated the model T7566C. the vehicle is powered by a Cummins NH250 engine driving through an Allison six-speed automatic gearbox to Kirkstall 131in. diameter hypoid axles having a ratio of 8.89 to 1. The 13ft 4,÷in. wheelbase chassis uses articulating two-spring bogie suspension, and is equipped with 12.00-20 tyres. A steel dumper-type cab is fitted.
