carriers' licensing system, a network of goods traffic control points under Licensing Authorities, and a new large haulage group to provide a yardstick for BRS efficiency—these are ingredients in a new set of proposals for transport put forward at the week-end.
Together with a wealth of other opinions and proposals about UK long distance haulage, they are propounded in a new Fabian Society pamphlet written by John Darker, who was with BRS for 15 years and recently joined the editorial staff of The Commercial Motor.
