Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

and disgust drivers using the port on a regular basis. In response to these complaints a second Health & Safety Executive investigation is now under way.

Officers from the HSE first carried out an investigation in ttie summer after receiving calls that the toilets were inadequate (CM 20-26 June). They concluded that the facilities were satisfactory, but angry drivers will not allow this Issue to be pushed under the carpet.

According to some, moves to introduce the fast-track computerised vehicle booking system (1111S) have not eased the situation.

''Even with YfiS it takes ages," says one. "There's nothing out on the pad in the way of toilet facilities."

Another driver has had enough: "Don't even go down that road," he fumes. "There are three steel toilets for God knows how many male drivers and one for ladies. There are no showers or washing facilities."

A spokesman for the HSE confirms: "There have been some further complaints: we are currently investigating."
