Minister of Transport to authorize, wherever possible, unilateral parking instead of "no waiting" restrictions, because of the hardship caused to occupiers of premises and to the public, was accepted at the autumnal conference of the National Chamber of Trade, at Morecambe, on Monday. The conference also pressed for greater expenditure on the roads.

A majority vote carried a resolution urging the removal of the 30 m.p.h. speed limit from light commercial vehicles on derestricted roads.
