Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Perhaps aided by the Indian summer in Q3, optimism improved in October. A total of 68% of respondents said they were either very optimistic or fairly optimistic about the prospects for their business over the next 12 months, while 29% said they were either not very optimistic or not at all optimistic, giving an optimism score of +39 – a six-point improvement on the +33 low recorded in September.

October’s jump ended a worrying trend: the optimism score had dropped for three successive months since a high of +53 in June.

Hire and reward hauliers are overall the least optimistic bunch, with the optimistic/not optimistic split being 59/38; the split for logistics and contract distribution irms was 85/14, while for own-account operators it was 55/25.
