Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two MPs are to ask questions in the House of Commons in support of Commercial Motor's campaign to regulate LGV driving schools. If this move fails they are prepared to lead an industry delegation to Railways and Roads Minister John Watts.

At present, the only requirement would-be LGV instructors need to set up a driver training school is an LGV licence. Our campaign is calling for similar regulation to that governing motoring schools where instructors are obliged to meet approved driving instructor (ADD standards set by the Government's Driving Standards Agency.

MPs David Porter and David Chidgey met CM at the House of Commons last week and con firmed they will put questions to the Secretary of State for Transport, Brian Mawhinnney, when the

H ouse resumes after the Queen's speech next week.

Porter, Conservative MP for Waveney, Suffolk, is president of the Institute of HGV Driving Instructors.
