my colleagues had the temerity to suggest that the main beam warning lamp on the Volvo 14.6 we recently tested was too dim. Within the week we had, not the the usual letter suggesting that we check our eyesight, but a complete revised warning light/symbol strip from Volvo, so we could see for ourselves that it has changed the colour to let more light through.

I hope other manufacturers will jump on this bandwagon: perhaps if 1 moan loudly enough about the quality of seats on a certain vehicle, its manufacturer will send me a new all-singing, all-dancing airsuspended one which I could then bolt to my office floor . . .
