• A former transport manager with Frigoscandia has been appointed to the new position of development director-Europe by TIP Trailer Rental, Paul Whick joined TIP in 1978 as area manager of its Grays operation, having worked for Frigoscandia for seven years. In 1981 he was promoted to southern regional manager, becoming regional director in 1984 with responsibility for branches in the London area and for major London and European accounts.
