Heating and air-conditioning system supplier Webasto has launched a new trailer-heating system designed to meet the needs of the poultry, food and fine art markets.
The Plug & Heat KM23 circulates heated air through the trailer via two specially designed air outlets fixed to the underside of the roof, while cool air from the trailer floor is re-circulated through a Thermo 230 23kW water heater unit mounted externally on the front bulkhead. A 230v battery charger kit is also available to heat the trailer even when it is parked, and Webasto claims the unit is a ‘plug-and-play’ alternative to traditional multi-heater systems.
