Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SIX BOALLOYTRAILERS entering service with Accrington-based Earl Transport will sport a new reversing safety device from VisionTechniques.

EarlTransport has been evaluating the new Trailer Sensor for the past six months on two trailers in a fleet of 55. MD Peter Hughes says: "Trailer damage is a big issue for anyone involved in this business. There's not only the damage caused to your own trailers but also to the third party which will mean insurance claims.

Trailer Sensor has been developed by Vision Techniques as a lower cost alternative to reversing safety cameras for fleets where trucks and trailers are regularly changing over. The system comprises four sensors on the rear of the trailer and green and red lights on the front corners of the trailer which are visible via the rear view mirrors. Power is picked up from the reversing lights.

When the truck reverses within two metres of an obstacle the green light flashes; at one metre the green turns to a red, warning the driver should stop. The Trailer Sensor pack is expected to cost £150.
