THE ROUTIERS Drivers Club has been asked by the International Routiers headquarters to submit factual details of individual loss, so these can be pressed in one large bill on the French Ministry of Transport.
If you suffered from uninsured loss and would like to be added on to the claim, you may obtain the special questionnaire from Routiers Drivers Club, 354 Fulham Road, London SW10 9UH. Tel: 01-351 3522.
The need for compensation is clearly established. The French Government failed: • To provide adequate customs procedures or staff levels to cope with the increased volume of international freight movement • Once the blockade had been established, they failed in their duty to stop foreign drivers from entering French borders.
