Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CM's exclusive industry survey has revealed that fewer than 20% of operators expect to pass the entire increase in fuel costs onto their customers.

This means that hauliers, who already have some of the lowest profit margins of any industry, have to absorb massive fuel hikes and risk going bust.

However, the survey also detected an increased level of militancy in the industry with hauliers now more determined than ever to force the price rises onto their customers.
