Huddersfield-based operator Carpet Shuttle (Northern), which called in the receiver after accumulating debts of Llm.

Administrative receiver Arthur Andersen of Leeds wants to sell the 35-truck business as a going concern. The carpet distributor is trading on a limited capacity with a skeleton staff, after making 25 employees redundant when Andersen was appointed on 21 May.

The directors blame the firm's demise on other companies owing it around £200,000, says the receiver. Last year they changed the company name from ED Berry to reflect its specialisation in carpets.
