THE latest model in the Crane Fruehauf Holmes range of recovery equipment is the H475 which can be used as either a recovery vehicle or a workshop crane.
A single hydraulic boom which can be extended, retracted, raised or lowered is operated by dual controls located on either side of the tailgate.
Fully extended, the boom overeaches the tailgate by 2.0m (6.7ft) and has art elevation of 600.
A specially designed body, weighing only 362kg (8001b) has two built-in jacks to reduce the loads on the truck during lifting operations.
The H475 has a capacity of four tons while a larger twin winch model, the H475T is available with a 6-ton capacity.
