EIGHT luxury coaches for, South African

Airways have been completed by Duple Motor Bodies Ltd. The basic Bella Vista shell has been modified to take a 75 cu. ft. rear locker, with shelf at the top of the locker in the interior fitted with guardrails to take hand luggage.

The body shell is fitted with 2 in. glass-fibre insulation throughout and there is forced ventilation. There are 18 Chapman fully adjustable reclining seats with armrests and adjustable footrests. A standard GA.220 twin seat with armrest is fitted alongside the driver at the front.

The whole of the framework of the body is in Iroko, a special wood which resists insects and decay in tropical climates. The seats are trimmed in Connolly's blue/grey hide and the exterior finished in South African Airways' standard livery of medium and dark blue with cream reliefs.
