Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the furniture trade ", Mr. R. W. J. Stevenson, manager of A. C. Penman Ltd., the Dumfries bodybuilders, told The Commercial Motor following the delivery last month of their second demountable-body vehicle designed for Guy Rogers Ltd., upholstery manufacturer of Speke, Liverpool.

The Penman system uses metal ramps at the main loading point which enable the body to be automatically lifted on or off the platform vehicle and locked in place by reversing into the correct bar( governed by the ramps. It has been developed considerably since it was first introduced many years ago for cattle trucks, and since the end of 1962 it has been taken up more Widely. 1.C.I. has

built up a fleet of over 100 for carrying explosives containers, Guinness has more than a dozen for use where loadingtemperature control is important and in the Liverpool area A. E. Taylor has five for carrying sewing machines. Hygena Ltd. has 12 for kitchen furniture transport and Guy Rogers will have a third one shortly. Hygena co-operated with Penman in designing a version expressly for the furniture trade.

The new Guy Rogers vehicles are Dennis Pax with B.M.C. 5.1-litre diesel engines, each body being of 2.000 cu. ft. capacity.

Use of demountables combines the "

finished" appearance of a fixed body with the operational flexibility of a con

tainer system, •
