SEVER AL men well known to our industry have become Regional Controllers in the new Ministry of Production organization. Mr. J. W. Howlett, of Wellworthy Piston Rings, Ltd., has been appointed chairman of the Southern Area; Colonel H. B. Sankey, MC., of Joseph Sankey and Sons, Ltd., takes over the Midlands; Viscount Ridley, C.I3.E., who was for only a few weeks Director of Producergas Vehicles in the M. of W.T., is in. therNorthern Area; whilst Mr. L. J. B.
Forbes, B.Sc. . (E,ngineering), of Triplex (Northern); Ltd., is to be the Ministry's representative in Scotland.
