RESIDENTS' complaints about lorry parking are causing probler for operators using the A64 Leeds-York road.

Both the Road Haulage Association and the Freight Transport Association have been contacted by West Yorkshire police, after complaints by various residents' pressure groups, many of whom have been influenced by the ban on vehicles using the A58 route. Police have told both assoc .tions that the groups are rE ponsible bodies, and have ask drivers to try to avoid causi obstructions when they stop use shops or phones on the AE They say that where it is "E solutely imperative" that drivE should stop on the road, th should always use haza warning lights.
