" ARTIC " BUS DESIGN .1--1 A DESIGN for an articulated bus has been evolved by Mr. A. Prentice, transport manager of St. Cuthbert's Co-operative Association. He considers that the time is not far off when legislation to permit the use of such vehicles on the roads of this country will be required.

His design is for a 100-passenger vehicle with rearward-facing seats. "Our coaches cannot come anywhere near to matching the Continental vehicles in speed and braking efficiency," he asserts.

British operators have found this in recent years with the increasing number of Continental coach tours. This situation cannot possibly be allowed to continue. Articulation is :he answer."
