Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Warwickshire police are appealing for help to identify the driver of a truck innocently caught up 41 a fatal car accident in early December.

Ths follows the death of three car occupants who were being followed by police in north Warwickshire at 21.12hrs on Thursday 2 December on the southhound A446 between the Belfry Hotel and the Bassett's Pole island.

Police stress no offences of failing to stop or report an accident are being considered against the driver, who apparently braked and then drove on from the scene. "The driver is an important witness to the incident," says a Warwickshire police spokesman.

The incident occurred when a maroon Ford Orion, followed by a marked police vehicle, overtook a grey Rover 214. While on the wrong side of the road the car approached the truck and then returned to the correct side. The Orion then left the road and collided with a tree, killing all three occupants.

Police believe despite having to brake heavily the truck driver might not have realised that the Orion had crashed.

The truck was travelling north towards the A38; witnesses are not sure if it was a rigid, an antic or a drawbar. The cab is said to be lighter than the rest of the vehicle with "three rows of lights"—possibly roof lights, headlamps and driving lamps.
