shOwn in the accompanying illustration is a Bedford passenger chassis, and despite the fact that approxi.mately • 1,000 cubic ft_ is available in the body, thu coMplete machine comes within the 50-cwt. class.
Built by the Arlington Motor Co., Ltd., the semi-streamlined Luton body, which is to the specification of Messrs. J. Spiller, who contract for Messrs. Hugh Stevenson, has a bottom frame of duralunain to which the ash side'members are secured. These sidemembers are of girder section, being gueseted to the hoop-sticks by duralumM plates.
The vehicle has a full-width coachtype front with a floating scuttle dashboard, the ash framing being flitched with duralumin plates of suitable • gauge. Special attention.has been paid to the jointing of the aluminium .Plymax panels, with a view to preventing the ingress of water. Where Plymax is ''not erriployed ' for panel' work, aluminium is need.
