Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

YOUR CONTRIBUTOR, writing on VOSA annual test pass rates last week ('Testing Times'. CM 3 December) appears to call truck-makers claims into question.

I can assure him that, at MAN. ow figure for first-time pass rates over 1,31C tests in October this year was 93.14% that is, to be clear, vehicles prepared by the MAN network that went through first time without any issues.

Small defects rectified on the test lane pushed the final figure up to 96.8% foi vehicles leaving the station with a tesi certificate. In the same month, 24 of oui dealers achieved 100% first-time pas! rates in 275 tests. In the interests o absolute clarity, though, let me stat that our first-time pass rate for thc year to date is a little lower at 91.32% over 12,205 tests — and these are al VOSA supplied figures.

We would hope to finish the year a 92% or higher. as demanded by ou MAN Up Time Principle (UTP standards, which is one of a number o standards put in place to help operator meet their 0-licence compliance neeth John Davies Head of UK Service and Support MAN Truck & Bus UK
