TDG scoops E60m Weetabix deal
TDG HAS secured a £60m five-year contract with the Weetabix Food Company following the cereal-maker's decision to outsouree its logistics operations.
TDG will manage warehousing and distribu:ion for the Kettering-based firm, which also as manufacturing sites in Northamptonshire .owns of Corby and Ashton.
Goods will be delivered from a 350,000fe facility run by TDG in Burton Latimer, Northants. TDG has added 16 MAN trucks and 47 high-cube trailers to its fleet.
Some vehicles have transferred from Weetabix, which holds an 0-licence for 92 vehicles and 100 trailers. Under RIPE rules, 158 Weetabix staff have transferred to TDG.
