• West Herts Training, in conjunction with P&O Roadways, has developed a new course covering the transport of waste.
Training will take place at WHT's St Albans headquarters; the fee for a three-day course is £155 plus exam fee.
The company is also offering training courses covering the carriage of dangerous goods which will help drivers to comply with the EC Directive of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods.

• A half-day back-to-basics course for drivers moving radioactive material will be held by the National Radiological Protection Board on 24 February. The £80 course will take place at the NRPB's headquarters in Chilton, near Didcot, Oxon. It will cover vehicle loading, package labelling, emergency procedures and documentation.
