THE MOTOR Industry Researc Association (Mira) intends t bring its recently commissione high-energy crash test faciliti which is used for impacting 31 tonne vehicles into rnotorwa crash barriers at 50 mph, full into operation in 1984.

Plans for a low friction surfac at the Nuneaton proving groun and updating of Mira's altitud chamber are also expected to b finalised next year.
