. The FTA was astonished to read in The Independent that it was fully behind the demo by the HFA in Dover last week The blunder, printed on 1 August. said the FTA was "backing a convoy of about 200 slow-moving lorries". In the event, only six trucks and five cars turned up.
Geoff Dossetter of the FTA says: We did not and will not back any such action—it goes against everything we have said."
