KNOWLES (TRANSPORT), LTD., haulage contractors, of New Road, Wimblington, Climbs, have taken over the haulage business of J. F. Wiklerspin and Son, High Street, Chatteris, Cambs. The Chatteris depot will remain open as before, but the whole of the administrative work will be carried on in New Road, Wimblington. Mr. Gerald Knowles, now governing director of Knowles, founded his business in 1931 with a single lorry and about a year ago his company increased their haulage fleet to 52 by taking over Bush Transport, of Wished.).
