concrete mixers have been ordered by Pre-Mixed Concrete (Rotherhithe), Ltd.

LIBYAN MILITANTS: Thirty A.E.C. Militants have been ordered by the Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., Tripoli. They will be powered by the A.E.C. 11.3-litre diesel engines and have sleeper cabs made by Bonallack and Sons, Ltd.

10 MORE FOR NIGERIA A. 1. Karouni, Ltd., Nigeria, have ordered 10 more A.E.C. chassis. The order is for five Mandator long-wheelbase chassis and five Mammoth Major six-wheeled tractive units for use with tanker semi-trailers.

ANOTHER HUNDRED: A.E.C. Vehicles (S.A.), Ltd., Johannesburg, have ordered 100 more A.E.C. goods and passenger chassis. This total includes 25 Mammoth Major eight-wheelers, 10 Mandators, 16 Marshal 6 X 4 models and eight Mandator tractive units. Passenger chassis ordered include Six Reliances and 12 Regal Mk. VI models,

HOLLAND ORDERS UNIT: The Dutch railways organization, N.V. Nederlandsche Spoorwegen, has ordered 100 chassis sets from Leyland Motors, Ltd., for installation in Dutch integrally constructed buses. The order is worth £230,000. Each set includes a Leyland 0.600 diesel engine and units similar to those fitted to the Leyland Worldmaster.

MONTEVIDEO TO REPLACE BUS FLEET: Final discussions are now in progress on a am. contract for 250 Leyland Worldmaster buses with M.C.W. bodywork with which it is planned to completely replace the current fleet operated by the Montevideo municipal transport undertaking, A.M.D.E.T, • The new vehicles will have power-assisted steering, dual air brake systems and .exhaust brakes, whilst the I20-passenger body. work will have seats for 28, one entrance and two exit doors, and the conductor will be seated at a desk.

LONG LEOPARDS FOR HILL: Two Leyland Leopard 36-ft.-long single-decker passenger models have been ordered by C. G. Hill and Sons (Tredegar), Ltd. The contract calls for one PSU3.I bus chassis and one PSU3.3 coach chassis.

MERCURYS FOR AIR PRODUCTS, LTD.: An order for a further 10 A.E.C. Mercury tractive units has been placed by Air Products, Ltd. They are to haul liquidgas semi-trailer tankers, joining the company's existing fleet of A.E.C.s engaged on this duty.

POWER-PLUS FOR AVELINOBARFORD: The Leyland 0.400 PowerPlus diesel engine is now being fitted in the SR 10-ton dumper and the 10-ton Minecar built by Aveling-Barford. Sixteen dumpers of this type have just been dispatched to Swaziland.

SCAMMELLS FOR SPARROW SUBSIDIARY: Three more Scammell Highwayman tractive units have recently been delivered to Plant Transport and Installation (Bath), Ltd., a subsidiary of G. W. Sparrow and Sons, Ltd., of Bath, as a further stage in the firm's policy of standardization on Seammell heavy haulage vehicles

PENNINGTONS LEYLAND ORDER: A repeat order calling for four Leyland Super Comet 14SC.15 dump truck chassis and a Leyland Octopus 240.13 dumpertipper chassis has been placed by Penningtons (Kendal), Ltd. The vehicles will be used as concrete mixers and tippers to carry limestone.

BREDA ORDER FOR VERHEUL-A.E.C.: An order for 25 Verhetil-A.E.C. VBlO single-deckers incorporating A.E.C. Regal Mk. VI running units, including the AH690 engine and Monocontrol transmission, has been placed by NV. Brabantsche Butistpoorwegen en Autodiensten, of Breda. This Dutch public transport undertaking purchased 28 V1320 models, which incorporate A.E.C. Reliance units, earlier this year.
