Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE names of purchasers of list 15 transport units are reported from three areas this week. Seven Special Traffics units have gone to two London hauliers. Four of them (10128, 10130, 10136 and 10144), -based at Finsbury, have been acquired by Mr. L Spring, 73 Alpha Grove, E.14. Each comprised a van, one of them insulated, weighing 2 tons unladen.

Finsbury units 10131 and 10145, and one at Bermondsey (10152), have been taken over by Mr. S. Harris, 62 King's Head Hill, E.4. Three vans with a total unladen weight of 6 tons were involved. One of these also was an insulated outfit.

The name; of the other successful tenderers will be found below under " East Midlands," "Eastern Counties" and "London and Home Counties." Further transfers of ex-British Road Services' vehicles bought in earlier lists of transport units are revealed in six of the areas given.

NORTHERN AREA An articulated vehicle (6 tons 19 cwt.) and a trailer have been made over to Messrs. Sunter Bros. Boroughbridge Road, Nonballerton, by Comherhill Motors, Ltd., Olympia Garage,. lags Road, Wakefield.

The Northern Licensing Authority has also authorized the following transfers: a lorry (2 tons 11 cwt.) to William Brunskill and Son (Transport), Ltd., Central Garage, George Street, Bishop Auckland, by Mr. E. Waters, 84 Si, Mary's Avenue, Monkseanan; one (4 tons 19 cwt.) to 1. W. Capstaff, Ltd., Eastern and Western Lodges, off Coach Lane, Little Benton, Newcastle span Tyne, by Messrs. J. W. and M. Armstrong, 53 Kirkly Drive, Ponteland; one (3 tons 8 cwt.) .0 Messrs. Newgrae Services, 2a Neweatte Street, Morpeth, by W. R. Tulip, Ltd., Rink Street 3atage, Blytfi; and one 12 tons (4 cwt.) to [Unisons of Dewsbury, Ltd,. New Brown Street, Manchester, by Mr. W. Storey, Portare, Ackvorth, near Pontefract.

NORTH-WEST More ex-B.R.S. lorries have been acquired by Woodcocks Transport (Chorley), Ltd., Park Road 3arage, Heskin, Chorley. Three (13% tons) have seen taken over from Swains Transport, Ltd., 172 Washway Road, Sale: two 16 tons) from Hr. W.. G. Tomlin. 116 Argyle Street, St. Helens; tad one (7 cons) From C. L. Woodcocks Transport have, in turn, transferred in articulated outfit (6% tons) to Mr. Tomlin, Ind a lorry (7% tons) to K. and L. Transport. .cd., 66 Clarendon Road, Morecambe.

Cusick (Oldham), Ltd., Thornton Street North, Aanchester, 9, have assigned a lorry (7% tons) ro .S.P. Transport, Ltd., Villiers Road, Skewer': dessrs. Johnson's, Leigh, one (5% tons) to J. L.

Palfreyman, Bank View, Oxspring: and Mr. J. O'Neill, Penilee, Glasgow, to Mr. I-I. Rinks, Carlton, Leyhurn, Fred Chappell, Ltd., 51 Station Road, Batley, have taken over a lorry and a trailer from Tees Side Carriers, Ltd., Stockton-on-Tees.

WEST MIDLANDS Two articulated vehicles (6% tons) and two trailers transferred to Mr. N. Beech, Hope Street, Hanley. by Grange Bros., Ltd., Wells, have now been made over to Harris Road Services, Ltd.. Lostock Gralam, Norwich

Other assignments authorized by the West Midland Licensing Autifority are a lorry (314 tons) to Messrs, Blowers' Transport, Wattlesborough Heath, by Longton Transport, Ltd., King Street, Longton; an articulated vehicle (2% tons) and a trailer to talons Transport, Ltd., 108 Roseway, Wellington, by Woodcocks Transport*(Chorley), Ltd., Park Road Garage, Heskin, near Chorley; and WI articulated vehicle (3 tons) and a trailer to Lockyer's Transport, Ltd., 41 Ilowsell Road, Malvern Link, by Mr. V. J. Grange, 124 Bridge Street, Peterborough.
