A huge 85% of drivers don't know the correct speed limits when driving a van.

According to a survey by Vauxhall, a majority of drivers believe vans adhere to the same limits as cars and car-derived vans, but these only apply to light CVs up to 2,000kg GVW, Furthermore, 72% of those asked were incorrect in their knowledge of the correct speed on single carriageways (50mph for larger vans) — half thought the limit was 40mph.

Dual carriageways saw 28% respondents give the limit as 50mph not 60mph, while 24% thought it was the same as for a car (70mph). Motorway driving had 56% believing the limit was at the speed of 60mph.
