Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEADING Labour and Conservative MPs are giving lectures later this summer on the many changes in employment legislation which will affect employers this year.

Industrial Relations Services, of 67 Maygrove Road, London, NW6 (WI: 01-328 4751) is running lectures by Labour MP and CM contributor Greville Janner, starting on May 5 when he will discuss the changes in mergers, transfers, acquistions, and rules on consultation which take effect on May 5.

On May 12, he will be joined by Employment Secretary Norman Tebbit and shadow employment spokesman Eric Varley to discuss the Employment Bill, which will probably become an Act around then.

Mr Janner will discuss sick pay and self-certification on May 17 and 18, in time for the change in the law which means that doctors will no longer be bound to certify illness for an employee's first seven days of absence. And, again on June 14, the day when the self-certification system takes effect, he will look at selfcertification, sick pay and absenteeism control.
