• London Transport is replacing existing 56-seat buses with o-m-o, 72-seat double-deck buses, on Monday. to Friday route 234 (Hackbridge—Purley—Selsdon) from April 20, and from April 18 a flat fare of Is. 6d. (children 9d.) will be charged on new express routes between New Addington and West Croydon, operated by o-m-o d /ds. One of the new routes will replace the existing express service and part of the stopping service on route 130; the other new route will replace the Monday-to-Saturday express service on route 130C. On Saturdays it, too, will serve the Croydon shopping centre.

From April 18 o-m-o single-deck buses will • replace d /ds on route 132 (Eltham — Bexleyheath). From the same day more o-m-o double-deck buses will be provided on Saturdays on route 233 (Roundshaw — Croydon).
