We are now heavily engaged with our winter despatches, and particularly with certain classes of parcels Which we hope will reach "the Front" before Christmas. Some of these parcels have been specially selected for the officers and non-commissioned officers of the Overseas Columns, Units and Detached Parties of the ALT., A.S.C. The Ladies Committee has during the past few weeks dealt with upwards of 800 applications for wool to be knitted into scarves. A total of 2050 lb. of wool has been issued to 712 of these applicants, but all requests for the issue of free wool which came to hand after the 1st inst. have had to be declined. The Fund will benefit by the receipt of approximately 4000 knitted scarves within the next few weeks.
