Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LONDON Transport Chairman Ralph Bennett has had talks with Home Secretary Merlyn Rees on the problems of violence directed to bus and underground staff.

The Home Secretary has promised to give serious consideration to the problems and discuss with the Commissioner of Police ways of reducing them.

Victory order

LEYLAND Vehicles has won a £6 million order for 375 Victory Mark 2 buSes for South African operator Putco.

They will be bodied locally and will operate from Johannesburg to surrounding African townships.

Wider service

DURHAM County Council is co-operating with private operator R and M Collishaw of West Auckland in extending a school bus service to provide facilities for all passengers from the isolated village of Walworth to travel to Darlington on Tuesdays to Fridays during the school term.

Walworth lost most of its bus services when National subsidary United altered its Darlington-Crook service earlier this year.
