Association of Vehicle Builders recently interviewed the Financial Secretary to the Treasury on the subject of purchase tax on goods vehicles. As well as making representations as to the effect of the tax generally on the vehicle-building industry, the deputation gave its views on the detailed proposals for application of the tax.
