Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IF YOU WANT to explore the inside of a bus without building one, call in a CAD. This, Prime Computer (UK) explains, is a "system which tests the comfort, viewing parameters and movements of a person within environments prior to fabricating expensive prototype models." The CAD is a SAMMIE — "a system for aiding man/machine interaction evaluation," described as "an interactive, easy-to-use three-dimensional computer aided-design modelling system which can be used to build a simulated environment such as a car, cockpit, office or home. "It includes a sophisticated computerised human-model with built-in reach and sight capabilities which simulates the movements of a person within these confines. Virtually any size or shape of person can be represented through specific dimentional changes or statistical profiles of population groups."

Fatsos of the world rejoice, simulated relief is at hand.

I hasten to add that "SAMMIE can be sold standalone or (in a more gregarious form) in a bundled configuration."

It makes a nice pet, too.
